Layton Temple Open House Volunteer Information

There is an On Call Volunteer list for all Stakes where you can add your name. This

list will be used when shifts open up. 

Parking and Transportation volunteers will park at the Fairfield Chapel, 380 South Fairfield Road, Layton, UT.  All other volunteers will park on the east or south side of the Temple parking lot as directed.  A parking permit will be sent by email prior to your assigned shift.   

Yes, you can click on the 'Reschedule Appointment' link in your confirmation email

and it will allow you to reschedule the time.  Time slots fill quickly, so if you aren't

finding a time that works to reschedule, you can sign up for an On-Call Volunteer or

cancel your appointment.

Click on the 'Cancel Appointment' link that was sent in your email and it will open

up that time for another volunteer. If you are cancelling less than 48 hours of your

shift, please notify your Stake Volunteer Coordinator so that he/she can fill your

slot.

Attire for sisters is a dress or skirt and blouse. Attire for brethren is a white shirt, tie, and slacks (no jeans). Comfortable shoes are highly recommended and shoe coverings will be provided. If dictated by weather, volunteers serving outside the temple may wear a coat and head covering and sisters may wear dress pants.

Yes, tickets are available at https://laytontemple.churchofjesuschrist.org (starting March 24, 2024 at 4pm).

Often emails can be held up in a spam folder or are filtered by your provider.  Try searching across all email folders for "acuity" to find all email communication.  Please contact your stake representative if you have further concerns.

After registering, a list will be provided with your name and language to the temple coordinators to call in the event that a group schedules a tour with that language need and you can coordinate availability for that shift.  

Anyone is welcome to volunteer.  Membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not required to register as an Open House volunteer.
